But there is no scientific evidence that energy boosters actually work. But thankfully there are few things which you can do to enhance your body energy naturally.

Here are nine tips to boost your energy naturally:

1. Drink more water: What is the only nutrient that has been shown to enhance the performance of all but the most demanding endurance activities? This is not an expensive sports drink. This is water. If your body lacks fluids, one of the first symptoms is a feeling of fatigue. So we should drink more and more water to enhance our energy.

2. Use caffeine: Caffeine helps increase alertness, so a cup of coffee can help sharpen your mind. But to get the best effect of caffeine, you have to use it judiciously. Due to an overdose of caffeine, you may be suffering from insomnia. So use caffeine but in limit only.

3. Limit alcohol: One of the best defenses against midday meltdown is to avoid drinking alcohol at lunchtime. The pacificatory effect of alcohol is especially strong at midday. Similarly, if you want energy in the evening, avoid cocktails at five o’clock. If you are going to drink, do so sparingly at a time when you don’t mind draining your energy.

4. Lighten your load: Overwork is one of the main reasons behind fatigue. Overwork can be any kind of work like professional, family, and social obligations. Try to streamline your list of “must-have” activities. set your priorities to do the most important tasks first. Reduce what is less important.

5. Exercise: If you do exercise daily then it is a guaranty that you’ll sleep more soundly. Exercise also gives your cells more energy to burn and circulates oxygen. And exercising can lead to higher levels of dopamine in the brain, which helps elevate mood. While walking, pick up the pace from time to time to get additional health benefits.

6. Avoid Smoking: All of you know that smoking is a threat to your health. But you might not know that smoking actually saps your energy by causing insomnia. The nicotine in tobacco is a stimulant, so it increases heart rate, raises blood pressure, and stimulates the brain-wave activity associated with wakefulness, which makes it difficult to fall asleep. And once you fall asleep, its addictive power can kick in and wake you up with cravings.

7. Limit your sleep: If you think that you may suffer from sleep-deprived, try to get less sleep. This advice may sound strange, but determining how much sleep you really need can reduce the amount of time you spend not sleeping in bed. With this process, you can easily fall asleep and promotes more restful sleep in the long run. You can follow the below steps to do it:

  • Avoid taking naps during the day.
  • On the first night, sleep late than usual and get only four hours of sleep.
  • If you think you slept well during that four-hour period, add 15-30 minutes of sleep the next night.
  • As long as you’re sleeping soundly the entire time, gradually add more sleep over the consecutive nights.

8. Eat energetic foods: Eating foods with a low glycemic index – those whose sugars are absorbed slowly – can help you avoid the lag in energy that usually occurs after eating quickly absorbed sugars or refined starches. there are a lot of foods with a low glycemic index like whole grains, high-fiber vegetables, nuts, and healthy oils such as olive oil. In general, high carbohydrate foods are having the highest glycemic index. Protein and fats are having low or zero glycemic indexes.

9. Control stress: Stress-induced emotions consume enormous amounts of energy. Talking to a friend or relative, joining a support group, or seeing a psychiatrist can all help relieve stress. Relaxation therapies such as meditation, self-hypnosis, yoga, and tai chi are very effective in reducing stress.
